UKCS Director talks Brexit with International Trade Committee

If you have the stomach for watching an hour of parliamentary business, you might be interested in seeing this footage of a recent International Trade Committee meeting.  UK Customs Solutions very own director Bryn Ward was asked to appear as a witness on the subject of The impact of UK- EU arrangements on wider UK trade policy.

The committee is chaired by Angus MacNeil MP.  Along with other interested parties, MacNeil sought to better understand the implications of Brexit and its various scenarios.  Alongside Bryn as a witness was Richard Wade, a customs consultant representing ACITA (The UK Association for International Trade).

The hour long discussion touched on issues such as preparing for Brexit, the role of CHIEF & CDS, AEO certification and the movement of food and medicine.

Those concerned that the government and policymakers aren’t fully grasping the issues might not find much to be assured about here!
